How boarding works for London owners

You do not need to drive to Dorset. We run transport from our London shop at 75 St Helen’s Gardens, W10 6LL, on Mondays and Fridays. Dogs travelling that day need to be with us by 9am.

A taxi service to and from London can be added when you book. Tick that option on the booking form and we will confirm the details with you.

Where your dog stays

Humphrey & Bo sits in 11 acres of fields, woodland, streams and meadows. There are no kennels, no cages and no leads. Dogs stay in a Grade II listed farmhouse and cottage, and they live in the house as part of the family, on the sofas and the beds rather than in a run.

Every dog goes out on off-lead group walks three to four times a day, including last thing at night. The rest of the day is play sessions, the agility course with its tunnels, A-frames, poles and jumps, and the woods and the stream for the dogs who want them. Quieter dogs are left to have the snooze they came for. The boundaries are fully fenced throughout and the dogs are supervised by qualified staff.

We will send you photographs of what your dog has been up to while you are away, if you would like them.

Where we collect from in London

We work across West London and the areas around it, including Notting Hill, Westbourne Grove, Holland Park, and parts of Kensal Green, Paddington, Maida Vale, Bayswater, Hammersmith, Chelsea and Westminster.

The postcodes we cover wholly or in part are SW3, SW5, SW7, SW10, W2, W6, W8, W9, W10, W11, W12, W14, NW6, NW8 and NW10. If yours is not on that list, get in touch anyway. We cover as wide an area as we can.

Minimum stays and booking

Boarding runs 365 days a year and is booked first come, first served. We cannot hold or reserve spaces, so the sooner you book a busy period the better.

Minimum stays apply at the busier times of the year:

• Five days and nights over school holiday weekends, Valentine’s weekend and bank holiday weekends
• Three days and nights over term time weekends
• Seven days and nights over Easter
• Around twelve days over Christmas and New Year, from the last Thursday before Christmas Day to the first working day after New Year’s Day

Where does the boarding actually take place?

In Dorset, at Humphrey & Bo, our sister company. Our London shop is where you drop off and collect. The stay itself is in the countryside.

Do I have to drive to Dorset?

No. We run transport from the London shop on Mondays and Fridays, and a taxi service to and from London can be added when you book.

What time does my dog need to be with you?

By 9am on the day of travel, at 75 St Helen’s Gardens, London W10 6LL.

Will my dog be in a kennel?

What happens if my dog is unwell?

There is 24 hour veterinary cover for the whole of the stay, and the people looking after your dog are employed by us and DBS checked.
