Doggy Diary

Rocco: I am very lucky some days where the staff at Pets in the City allow me to sit with them in the office where I get my own blanket and chair to sit on. I do feel really spoiled sometimes ha-ha. After an energetic walk it is now time for my afternoon siesta; catch up with you guys soon!. Read more…

Dog of the Moment

Gellet or 'G-Dog' to his friends; what a fine chap this Welsh Terrier is.

Keep Your Puppy Calm in Stressful Situations

A pup can learn unconsciously, and this is a good tool to use in certain situations. If your pup has shown some concern over unusual noises, go to a railway station or a bus station armed with the pups favourite treats. Just as the train draws into the station, or the bus pulls away, produce the treats. The pup will be so delighted with the suprise reward, he will not pay attention to what is going on around him. Try this on a few occassions, and the pup will unconsciously become accustomed to the noise level, and it will cease to worry him.
